TranscendingScape - cloud, twig and sediment. 2012.
Vegetable parchment, brass eyelets, kite string, acrylic, concrete, glassware, branches, mudbrick, natural fiber yarns
TranscendingScape is a three-part, site-specific installation exploring ordinary materials and their potential as medium. This piece is a continued effort to recreate elements of nature in my own voice. All parchment pieces are inflated with human breath. As an artist, I find inspiration from my surroundings; both natural and man-made. My current work examines landscape, literally and metaphorically - motivated by consumer culture’s obsession with landscapes and reproduced elements of nature.
